What is No Yelling?

No Yelling is a driver education operation designed from the ground up to benefit learners and trainers alike. No Yelling facilitates a relationship between trainer and learner driver, and assures payment security, trainer professionalism, learner safety and dispute resolution. All trainers are contractors of No Yelling, and pass a strict vetting process before they are allowed on board.

What's the story behind No Yelling?

Founded in 2010, No Yelling began in a Brisbane share house with a simple goal: design a driver education experience for young people. The key tenets are simple; respect, equality, patience and good natured fun. Therefore, trainers must be mentors and team mates of the learner driver, and always keep a friendly smile. To this day that goal has not changed. Nearly every resource in the business is dedicated to finding No Yelling people, and enabling them to be the best driver trainers they can be.

How many lessons will my son or daughter need?

No Yelling trainers coach learner drivers by helping them achieve a series of small and managable goals. A good trainer can gauge how close a learner driver is to being road-safe from their first driving lesson. It’s for this reason that we encourage all students to go along for an inital lesson before buying a package. That way, the learner meets their trainer before committing, and you get an idea of how many driving lessons they’ll need from the get go.

Is pick up and drop off part of the standard service?

All driving lessons include pick up and drop off as part of the price. Sometimes learners want to be picked up at home, and dropped off at work or school. It’s a common request, so as long as you organise it with the trainer before the lesson they can make it happen.

What sort of training and accreditation does a No Yelling driver trainer have?

All driver trainers are government accredited, and are internally vetted and vouched for by a member of our core team. On top of this, they all pass a police check and carry a valid blue card along with a flawless driving record and an Australian driver’s licence.

What do we do when they've done 100 hours?

It’s not all about the log book. Some students need more experience than this, some need far less. It all comes down to the individual, and whether or not they are confident and safe to drive on Queensland roads. In the lead up to completing their 100 hours, a driving trainer will know if the student is driving safely and will take the steps to prepare them for the test. Once they’re ready, they can book with the government and arrange a car to use on the day of their test.

Is it true that one hour with an accredited trainer is worth three in the log book?

That’s true, up until they have had ten lessons with an accredited driver trainer at which point one hour is worth just one hour. That’s an easy 30 hours, and may be more than a student needs with a professional.

What does a driver education typically cost?

Prices start at $75 per hour, but have a look at these packages to plan the education of whoever you support as they learn to drive. Some packages include defensive driving courses, and these are delivered at either Willowbank or Mt Cotton through our friends at Safe Drive Training.

What are my payment options?

We can take a credit or debit card payment over the phone, on the website, or in the car. Whatever works for you and your budget.
